Hosting and technical data

The website is delivered through Cloudflare, Inc., USA. When you visit, technical connection data is processed, including your IP address, date and time, requested address, and browser and device information. This processing supports the delivery, stability and security of the website.

Cloudflare operates a worldwide network. Data may therefore also be processed outside Switzerland, including in the USA. Cloudflare’s Data Processing Addendum describes safeguards for international transfers, including the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework for covered transfers and standard contractual clauses with Swiss adaptations where applicable. Technical retention follows the hosting provider’s operational and security retention periods.

AutoScout24 vehicle catalogue

The vehicle selection and original photographs are delivered with this website. No AutoScout24 catalogue is embedded, and viewing the selection does not establish an automatic connection to AutoScout24.

Vehicle links open the original listings on AutoScout24. You access that external service when you open a link. The privacy information of AutoScout24 or SMG Swiss Marketplace Group then applies.

Vehicle purchase enquiries and WhatsApp

The form initially processes the vehicle model, mileage, fuel, transmission, driveability and optional asking price in your browser. The website does not save these entries in its own enquiry database.

The button that opens WhatsApp passes your details to WhatsApp as a prepared message. You review the text and decide whether to send it to Cars Palace. You can add photographs in the chat afterwards. No automatic valuation or purchase decision takes place.

After you send the message, we process it and the contact details visible in WhatsApp to answer your enquiry and discuss a possible purchase. WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Ireland) provides the service in the European Region. Its privacy policy describes transfers including to the US, the UK and Singapore, and the safeguards used, such as adequacy decisions, the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework for covered transfers and standard contractual clauses. You can contact us by phone or email instead.

Contact and retention

When you contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp, we process the information you provide to respond, arrange a viewing or prepare a possible contract. Correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry and business relationship, or to meet legal retention requirements and legitimate evidentiary interests.

External links and fonts

The website links to Google Maps, Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp and AutoScout24. The relevant service’s privacy information applies when you open a link. Social media feeds and maps are not directly embedded. Our own images and fonts are delivered with the website.

Cookies and analytics

The website does not use its own analytics or marketing cookies or its own advertising pixels. The hosting provider’s necessary technical security functions remain subject to the provider’s terms. We do not use your vehicle enquiry to build an advertising profile.

When audience measurement is enabled, we use Cloudflare to count page views and clicks on WhatsApp, phone and vehicle listing links. For these statistics we store only the time, event type, page type, language and, for listing clicks, the public listing number. Cloudflare uses the IP address temporarily to limit abusive requests. We do not store form entries, message text, IP addresses or device identifiers in the statistics. The prefilled WhatsApp text includes the visible source label “Cars Palace · Web”.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, rectification and, where relevant, deletion or a copy of your data, or object to processing. Please contact info@carspalace.ch. We may request appropriate proof of identity to protect your data. The Swiss supervisory authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
